Out-of-state transfers must be conducted using a licensed firearms dealer (FFL). That is usually a sports store, gun shop, pawn store or gunsmith in or near your town. If you need help finding an FFL, or are worried about what they might charge you to conduct the transfer once the gun is shipped, try consulting one of these helpful online resources to narrow down your options in a hurry.
The ATF provides a tool for use by the public to determine if an FFL's license is still valid or not. You'll need the first 3 and last 5 digits of your FFL's license number. This is public information, and no legitimate dealer should deny you this information, if you wish to run a check yourself. You can find it here:
